This course is only for the low wage workers in the PWM-Cleaning Sector.
As demand for environmental services grows, the sector has to ensure it has the skilled manpower and resources to meet this demand.
It’s all a part of learning new skills and itโs also a win-win situation for cleaner and their employer.
Cleaner gains from their progressive training policies and the company earned recognition.
As a result, Assure Academy plans to provide Furniture and Furnishing Maintenance (Level 1) as a way for cleaners to advance in their careers under the Progressive Wage Model (PWM).
Assure Academy Pte Ltd intends to offer training to both commercial and residential cleaners.
To deliver quality cleaning outcomes to service buyers, cleaning industries are committed to deepen the technical skillset of the cleaners.
Leaners before training:
1. Have difficulties in preparing work activities for furniture and furnishing maintenance
2. Cannot clean and/or polish the furniture and furnishing
3. Cannot reinstate the work area after furniture and furnishing maintenance
Learners after training:
1. Can prepare work activities for furniture and furnishing maintenance
2. Can clean and/or polish the furniture and furnishing
3. Can reinstate the work area after furniture and furnishing maintenance
Those whose job scope related to furniture and furnishing maintenance
Assumed Skills and Knowledge
โข No formal qualification or education
โข Able to speak, listen, write, and read English with Numeracy skills at a minimum proficiency level of the Employability Skills System i.e., Workplace Literacy and Numeracy (WPLN) Level 2. Assumed Attitudes
โข Have knowledge on own work role and corresponding responsibilities.
โข Have knowledge of the cleaning agents used in performing cleaning activities.
โข Age from 18 and above.
Working Experience
โข Min. 3 months of working in environmental cleaning sector.
Screening Process
โข A checklist to be provided to prospective client to ensure the learner(s)โ requirements (above) are met
โข To make recommendations on suitable courses if the individual does not meet the entry criteria
โข Verification of authenticity can be done via checking on certificates
Classroom durations: Day 1 โ 8:30โฏAM to 7:00โฏPM; Day 2 โ 8:30โฏAM to 12:00โฏPM
Assessment duration: 11:00โฏAM to 12:00โฏPM
Kindly note that you are required to achieve a minimum of 75% attendance and be certified competent in all the assessment components.
Should you fail to meet the attendance/assessment requirements and/or terms and conditions of SSG’s funding, you will not be eligible for the course fee funding and will have to bear the full course fees.

Eligible Singapore Citizens can use their SkillsFuture Credit to offset course fee payable after funding.
Company Sponsored
Absentee Payroll Claimable: $4.50 per hour, capped at $100,000 per enterprise per calendar year.
Skills Future Enterprise Credit (SFEC) Grant: One-off $10,000 credit cover up 90% of out-of-pocket expenses.
Union Training Assistant Programme (UTAP)
UTAP Claimable: NTUC member enjoy 50% unfunded course fee support for up to $500 per year.
