About This Course

Assure Academy Pte Ltd intends to offer training to both commercial and residential cleaners.

To deliver quality cleaning outcomes to service buyers, cleaning industries are committed to deepen the technical skillset of the cleaners.

There has been an increase in the demand for cleaning services.

In addition, The Government had jointly accepted the Tripartite Cluster for Cleaners (TCC)’s recommended mandatory training requirement under the Skills Framework for Environmental Services.

The enhanced training requirement would equip cleaners with the knowledge and skills needed to carry out their work safely, as well as achieve higher productivity and better service delivery.

From 31 December 2022 onwards, cleaning businesses must ensure that all cleaners attain:

(i) one Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) module, AND

(ii) one Core module, Modules are selected from the list of modules endorsed by the TCC.

This proposed singular module on Incident and Accident Investigation (Level 2) is one of the core modules.

1. Not able to recognise and adhered to the established WSH policies and procedure within workplace

2. Not able to identify and report unsafe act or conditions

3. Not able to promote WSH Culture within the workplace

1. Adhere to Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Policies and Procedures

2. Identify and escalate unsafe behaviour and work practices

3. Participate in and promote WSH culture building programmes

Minimum Entry Requirement

Assumed Skills and Knowledge

• No formal qualification or education.

• Able to speak, listen, write, and read English with Numeracy skills at a minimum proficiency level of the Employability Skills System i.e., Workplace Literacy and Numeracy(WPLN) Level 2.

Assumed Attitudes

• Have knowledge on own work role and corresponding responsibilities.

• Have knowledge of the cleaning agents used in performing cleaning activities.

 

Attendance & Assessment

Kindly note that you are required to achieve a minimum of 75% attendance and be certified competent in all the assessment components.

Should you fail to meet the attendance/assessment requirements and/or terms and conditions of SSG’s funding, you will not be eligible for the course fee funding and will have to bear the full course fees.

Individual Sponsored

  • Eligible Singapore Citizens can use their SkillsFuture Credit to offset course fee payable after funding.

Company Sponsored

  • Absentee Payroll Claimable: $4.50 per hour, capped at $100,000 per enterprise per calendar year.
  • Skills Future Enterprise Credit (SFEC) Grant: One-off $10,000 credit cover up 90% of out-of-pocket expenses.

Union Training Assistant Programme (UTAP)

  • UTAP Claimable: NTUC member enjoy 50% unfunded course fee support for up to $500 per year.
