About This Course

This course is only for the low wage workers in the PWM-Cleaning Sector.

Assure Academy Pte Ltd intends to offer training to both commercial and residential cleaners.

To deliver quality cleaning outcomes to service buyers, cleaning industries are committed to deepen the technical skillset of the cleaners.

As a result, Assure Academy plans to provide Horizontal Surface Handling (Level 2) as a way for cleaners to advance in their careers under the Progressive Wage Model (PWM).

Training durations: Day 1 – 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM; Day 2 – 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Assessment duration: 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM.

 

What You’ll Learn

Horizontal Surface Cleaning (Level 2) is designed to equip cleaners with the knowledge and skills required in health and safety procedures to be taken when maintaining horizontal surfaces and transfer the learning acquired to their workplace, which includes:

What learners can do after training

1. Prepare work activities for horizontal surface maintenance

2. Scrub and burnish hard floor surfaces and carpets mechanically

3. Reinstate work area after horizontal surface maintenance

Those whose job scope related to horizontal surface maintenance.

 

Minimum Entry Requirement

Candidates must have:

Received training or on-the-job training or personal coaching on topics that are relevant to the selected technical skills and competencies of the competency unit

or

at least 3 months of working experience.

 

Attendance & Assessment

Kindly note that you are required to achieve a minimum of 75% attendance and be certified competent in all the assessment components.

Should you fail to meet the attendance/assessment requirements and/or terms and conditions of SSG’s funding, you will not be eligible for the course fee funding and will have to bear the full course fees.

  • Eligible Singapore Citizens can use their SkillsFuture Credit to offset course fee payable after funding.

Company Sponsored

  • Absentee Payroll Claimable: $4.50 per hour, capped at $100,000 per enterprise per calendar year.
  • Skills Future Enterprise Credit (SFEC) Grant: One-off $10,000 credit cover up 90% of out-of-pocket expenses.

Union Training Assistant Programme (UTAP)

  • UTAP Claimable: NTUC member enjoy 50% unfunded course fee support for up to $500 per year.
